This post got lost in the rabbit hole of my Month of Moving. How I love it and--pleasant surprise!--am delighted to find Hiraeth at the tip of your tongue. Probably you didn't know that concept is at the center of the Welsh novel I'm (always) writing. Of course it is; synchronicity, as always. Thank you for sharing my post.
😭 This is beautiful. I have a tough time straddling the line of remembering the safe moments/spaces just fondly enough, without crossing the line into grief and despair that those moments weren’t real and that I’d been experiencing them through the proverbial “rose-colored glasses”. (My failed marriage being a prime example.) Thank you for writing this and teaching me a new word. It’s beautiful. And painful. 😭 But sometimes pain can be almost comforting because it’s so familiar. I love this piece of your writing. It’s beautiful.

I love our synchronicity. And I love the things that we are (always) writing.
Me, too
I love learning new words for longing! And the “perfect writing space” is ridiculously relatable.
Thank you, Holly
